The biggest cause for poor skin texture is a build-up of dead skin cells. This generally occurs when the skin isn’t properly cleansed or exfoliated. The outer most layer of our skin is composed of dead skin cells that are cemented together to form a protective layer over the living skin cells below to shield them from damage and natural elements. However, often this layer can build up to give a rough and bumpy texture that can make your skin appear uneven and affect overall smoothness.

This build-up of dead skin cells can also contribute to breakouts and enlarged pores and can also affect your skin’s tone, often making it appear dull and lifeless. Pigmentation can also form as a result of pregnancy or overexposure to the sun, further affecting your skin’s tone. This is why we recommend you wear a strong SPF 50+ sunscreen every day to protect your skin at all times.
